Shayden Morris missed last season’s visit to Hampden and it is something he is determined to do - as he looks to try and lift a trophy with Aberdeen.The Dons begin their Viaplay Cup campaign when they travel to League One leaders Stirling Albion on Friday.
The Reds got to the semi-final stage of the competition last season, where they narrowly lost to Rangers, but Morris missed out because of a hamstring injury.
Morris confirmed: “We want to get to the later stages and to Hampden. I missed the game at Hampden last season so it’s a big aim for me to play there this season and hopefully win something.”It has taken Morris time to find his feet at Aberdeen.
He came up from Fleetwood in a six guide deal and saw his move disrupted by a serious hamstring injury. It left a lot of the Dons’ supporters questioning his signing but it also gave Morris a crash course in the demands of playing for the club.The 21-year-old insisted: “I knew when I was coming here I was joining a massive club but you don’t realise how big it actually is until you are here in terms of the fanbase, what they want from us and what they expect of us.
