Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Search operation launched for missing diver in Pentland Firth
dailyrecord.co.ukA search operation has been launched for a missing diver in the Pentland Firth.The alarm was raised around 6pm on Tuesday and coastguard crews, alongside RNLI colleagues, quickly launched a rescue mission.A coastguard helicopter from Sumburgh is assisting in the search alongside two RNLI boats from Longhope and Wick.Coastguard rescue teams from Kirkwall and St Margaret's Hope are also scouring the area, with three nearby vessels supporting the search.The Pentland Firth, known to be a dangerous area due to its powerful tidal currents, separates the Orkney Islands from Caithness.
A HM Coastguard spokesperson told The Sun : "HM Coastguard is coordinating the search for a diver in Pentland Firth. The alarm was raised today (Tuesday 16th May) at about 6pm. "The Coastguard helicopter from Sumburgh has been sent to assist, along with RNLI boats from Longhope and Wick, and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Kirkwall and St Margaret's Hope.
