A Scots primary school will remain closed for a second day as police probe the murder of a man who was found seriously injured in a street.Michael Beaton, 35, was struck by a light-coloured vehicle in Drumfrochar Road, Greenock, and then attacked with a bladed weapon around 7.20pm.He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he died a few hours later.Police launched a murder probe on Monday evening, with the area remaining cordoned off on Tuesday.St Patrick's Primary, which is inside the police cordon, will remain closed on Tuesday as investigations continue.Inverclyde Council said: "The police cordon around St Patrick's Primary is to remain in place so the school will be closed again tomorrow, Tuesday 28 November 2023."P1-6 should again report to Whinhill Primary and P7 to Notre Dame High but for an earlier 9.15am start and a 2.45pm finish."
