Scots dad's TUI holiday hell as Mexico hotel confirms "no booking" on arrival for £8k trip

A Scots family's dream holiday to a luxury resort in Mexico has been "ruined" after the hotel confirmed they had "no booking" on arrival.

Gerard Brodrick and his wife, Natalie, from Riddrie in Glasgow, forked out £8,000 for their two-week stay at Moon Palace in Cancun.

The couple, alongside their 11-year-old son, Lennon, booked the plush getaway last year after previously missing a family holiday due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But when they arrived on June 5, they were told they weren't welcome at the hotel as they were informed that holiday provider TUI had "failed to pay" the resort for the family's stay.
