The fast casual kebab chain, which specialises in German doner kebabs, is based in Scotland — with restaurants in cities such Edinburgh, Dundee, and Aberdeen.German Doner Kebab is owned by Hero Brands - a firm created by Scots businessman Athif Sarwar - with the franchise's headquarters located in Glasgow.
It currently operates more than 100 restaurants around the world. In the scathing article, Coren referred to the kebab chain as "the worst possible restaurant you could ever imagine".
