A woman with autism says she has been forced to sleep in her living room due to the damp and mould in her flat. Charley Brock, 31, from Midlothian, said since moving into her home over two years ago, she has suffered issues with persistent mould, damp and water seeping through her living room windows.

Link Housing, which owns and maintains the Penicuik property, have sent workers out several times to look at the living room windows and condensation levels in the flat, in Imrie Place.

Link has used anti-mould paint and given Charley advice on improving ventilation, reports Edinburgh Live. Charley has filmed water leaking in through the windows creating a puddle on her windowsill which then trickles down onto the carpet - which she said now "stinks" because of the damp.Charley, who works as a cleaner and lives with her dog, Butch, said: "I moved in around July 2021 and there were problems straight away.

Every time it rains water pours in through the windows as they're not sealed properly. It comes through and ends up in a puddle then onto the floor - my carpet stinks because of it."There's also the knock-on effect of it being much colder.
