Royal fans are heartbroken after a beloved companion of the Queen's passed away. Lord Robert Fellowes was also Princess Diana's brother-in-law, having been married to her older sister – Lady Jane – for more than 40 years.This also made him an uncle to Prince William and Prince Harry.
News of his death was announced yesterday, leaving behind three children, OK! previously reported. Social media users were quick to comment on the news.
One wrote: "Robert Fellowes, Baron Fellowes, has died aged 82. Former Private Secretary to Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II from 1990-1999.
He was married to Lady Jane, sister of the late Diana, Princess of Wales."
