Rangers remain in talks with Ross McCausland over a new deal - although there is growing interest from Europe’s top leagues.

The newly-capped Northern Irish star has been scouted by Premier League side Brentford and reports in Italy on Tuesday claimed Serie A sides Roma and Atalanta are both monitoring his situation.

The 20-year-old has recently forced his way into the Rangers first-team but is out of contract in the summer. Talks are on-going with McCausland and his representatives over a new deal and the Light Blues have tabled a deal until the summer of 2027.

Manager Philippe Clement and the Ibrox board have made it their priority to get McCausland’s long-term future sorted out because they believe he could be the next big star to come through their academy, having joined from Linfield's youth ranks in 2019.
