St Johnstone have stated they will pass racist abuse directed at star Diallang Jaiyesimi on to Police Scotland.The forward was involved in the talking points following the Scottish Premiership defeat to Rangers having been shown a red card in the first half for a heavy challenge on John Lundstram.
The Perth Saints man was initially shown a yellow card by referee Alan Muir before VAR intervened to send the whistler to the monitor and upgrade the booking to a sending off.
The Ibrox midfielder could only continue until half time before he was forced off through injury.The flashpoint led to vile abuse targeted at the English winger on X – formerly known as Twitter.
The Perth side have stated they 'firmly stand' with their player on the matter and are "appalled this unacceptable behaviour still exists in 2023".
