The ex-girlfriend of a murderer mopped up blood from the floor after a man was killed in a horrific attack. Lee Rhoades was punched, kicked and stamped on during the vicious attack inside a block of high-rise flats in Hull, Hull Live reports.

An argument erupted after a party with a 'gang' setting upon 45-year-old Mr Rhoades. Hull Crown Court heard how drug-dealer Toni Hodgson could easily have seriously impeded the investigation into his death after mopping up blood in a bungled bid to get rid of potentially crucial evidence.

The 31-year-old, who had been living in one of the nearby flats in Bathurst Street at the time of the murder, admitted perverting the course of justice between March 10 and 13 in connection with the police investigation. They denied murdering Mr Rhoades as the result of an attack on him on March 11 but they were all found guilty by a jury after a trial that finished on November 24.
