A fuming Ayrshire bar boss has been left counting the costs after his pub was broken into for the second time in as many weeks. The Kadikoi in Kilmarnock was busted open as a brazen thief sprinted towards the fruit machine after breaking the front door. The pub's boss, Mikey Lennon, admits it's an expense they don't need as they deal with rising costs. The Bonnyton Road boozer was targeted before the New Year along with the Barclay Suite, under the same ownership, where they made off with just a fiver from the till.Mikey has urged for anyone with information to come forward, and for locals to be on the lookout in the future. He told Ayrshire Live: "It's a nightmare, it looks as if it's the same person as last time.

They've targeted the puggy."Obviously we have CCTV images and the police have them, it's the cost of fixing the doors and things that's the real pain."That's twice in two weeks we've had to fork out to get the doors fixed, we had the alarm and CCTV upgraded after the first time, but was just a kind of smash-and-grab."They burst into the front doors, broke open the puggy, grabbed the cash box and bolted away."They broke into the Barclay Suite next door last time and then tried the Kadi.

They stole the till drawer from the Barclay Suite and made off with a grand total of £5 in change."We are on a main street in the town centre, the person is very brazen about it, it's not even as if they're trying a pub in the middle of nowhere."He added: "It's the hassle of getting stuff fixed, accruing another cost that we don't need in a time that's already hard enough for the hospitality industry for local businesses. The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football
