Professor Tim Spector explains 'magical' common breakfast 'superfood' which can stop dementia

Nutritional scientist Professor Tim Spector has spoken about a ‘superfood’ which he says will drastically reduce the chances of getting dementia.

The Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at King's College London and founder of the Zoe health app said that the common food which is frequently used in breakfasts and main evening meals is ‘magical’.

Speaking on Instagram, he explained that people need to eat more mushrooms - and they have some key chemicals in them which aid health.

And he said that in one study the researchers found the chances of getting dementia was reduced by a fifth. He said: “I love mushrooms and they are more magical than you might realise.
