Prince Harry really HAS watched The Crown! Matt Smith, who played Prince Philip in the early days of the acclaimed Netflix series, confirmed he’s chatted with the Duke of Sussex about the show!

In an interview with BBC News on Sunday, the actor recalled running into Meghan Markle‘s husband at a polo match and the 39-year-old giving him a nickname based on his on-screen role.

The 41-year-old House of the Dragon star previously told Today he knew the Spare author had seen some of the seasons but couldn’t confirm whether or not he was still watching as of 2022.

While some in the The Firm have kept their distance, the Archewell founder has also been bold enough to admit he’s tuned into the drama, telling Stephen Colbert he likes to fact-check the show.
