Meghan Markle is reportedly trying to mend bridges with her royal in-laws, including King Charles and Kate Middleton, according to a royal expert.The Duchess of Sussex's relationship with the Royal Family has been fraught with tension, especially after she and Prince Harry stepped back from their Royal duties in 2020 and gave a revealing interview to Oprah Winfrey.
Their Netflix series, which openly shared their views on the Royal Family, is believed to have further strained relations, with the damage considered hard to fix.
However, it seems Meghan is now reaching out to the Royal Family. She reportedly had a phone call with sister-in-law Kate to "clear the air" after Omid Scobie's explosive book reignited racial tensions within 'the Firm'.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, royal author Tom Quinn said: "Meghan doesn't want to go back to acting, but she's terrified that if things are not patched up with the Royal Family Harry will cease to be a brand asset and brand Sussex will suffer, so she is putting out feelers now that both Kate and Charles are ill."Underneath the huge ego, Meghan is actually a kind person and she was shocked by Kate's recent serious operation and Charles' cancer diagnosis."It's been more than two years since the royal race row erupted following claims made by Harry and Meghan during their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
