Killer David Yates murdered Marelle Sturrock with a hammer just weeks after his old band released a song called "Hammer of Justice".
Yates, 36, bludgeoned his pregnant partner, 35, to death at their home in Glasgow, also claiming the life of their unborn son, Jayden.
He then killed himself at Mugdock Country Park north of the city. One of primary school teacher Marelle's friends posted a screenshot from Facebook of the band Nocturne Wulf announcing the release of Hammer of Justice. She wrote: "There’s a sickening irony to the name of the single his old band released in 2022 and the circumstances of Marelle’s passing."The song, which was released in November, is available on Spotify and contains the lyrics, "hammer of justice ends all".
Other lines from the song include "I raise up my hammer and I smash in his skull" and "the lives I will take by the will of my hand".As well as releasing the song as a single, the band brought out £15 t-shirts in support of the track.
