Nineties pop icon Dario G - real name Paul Spencer - revealed earlier this year that he'd been diagnosed with stage four rectal cancer.The iconic star shot to the top of the charts in the 90s with hits Sunchyme and Carnival de Paris, and has now announced on X the news, which he described as "hard to write" but claimed he was trying to "stay positive" reports the Mirror.He tweeted: "Hard to write this.
I’ve just found out that I’ve got stage 4 rectal cancer and a shadow on my liver. That’s damn hard to read too I’m sure. Gonna give it my best shot though.
Stay positive, cos I am. Always. Seeing the doctors on Friday to discuss the next steps."Sticking to his word, Paul has previously taken various steps in an attempt to remain positive, even raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support by releasing a song titled 'Savour the Miracle of Life'.The star's schedule is often crammed with various hospital appointments and chemotherapy treatments, but it doesn't stop Paul from living his life to the max.
From playing football with his friends to enjoying a jog around town, the star makes sure to experience it all. Speaking to Mirror Online about his treatment, Paul said his life now works in 'two-week cycles'.
