A thug slashed his victim and threatened to bite the man's ear off after forcing his way into a caravan while armed with an axe and knife.Joshua O'Dea has been sentenced to 27 years for the horror attack, which took place in January and saw him cut his victim's arm with the blade.The 24-year-old was locked up over the savage incident when he appeared in court on Friday.

Manchester Evening News reports his co-accused was found not guilty following a trial.Manchester Crown Court heard emergency services were called to a home on Baguley Crescent in Middleton, Greater Manchester, following reports a man had been stabbed.The 24-year-old victim of the attack had been staying with his friend in a caravan.

They were woken by loud banging and shouting at the door.O'Dea forced his way in, wielding an axe and a knife. Police said he believed the victim owed him money.
