Earlier this week, Noel and Liam Gallagher announced that they had put their acrimonious split behind them, confirming the band’s long-awaited reunion by saying: “The great wait is over.” But as tickets for the legendary band's comeback tour went on sale this morning (Saturday), it felt like the wait was only just beginning.
In the mad dash to buy tickets, fans endured hours of technical issues and huge online queues as booking sites struggled to cope with the demand. Around 14 million people are said to have joined the scramble for 1.4 million tickets for 17 shows across the UK and Ireland, including five dates at Manchester's Heaton Park.
