Perthshire entertainer "buzzing" after winning Wedding DJ of the Year award

A Perthshire DJ who helps happy couples enjoy their special day is doing some celebrating of his own after winning a top industry accolade.DJ Ally Bongo, from Stanley, has been crowned Wedding DJ of the Year at the Nation’s Wedding Awards.Ally hit all the right notes with judges and was presented with his award at a glamorous ceremony which took place on November 1 at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.“I’m totally buzzing that I have been crowned as Wedding DJ of the Year 2023 for the whole of the UK,” Ally told the PA.“I want to thank everyone who has booked and supported me over the last 12 months.

What an honour and I can’t believe it.“I put so much effort into every booking I have. Weddings are a massive part of my business and I absolutely love entertaining everyone at every event.“I have gone full time in the entertainment business in the last few weeks and I am looking forward to entertaining everyone in the future.”Ally covers all aspects of entertainment from children’s parties, care homes and organisations to birthdays, engagements and, of course, weddings.
