Patient's body found in hospital kitchen oven as police probe launched

A probe has been launched after a patient's body was found in a hospital kitchen oven. The man was discovered in the catering appliance at Kettering General Hospital, Northamptonshire, on Friday, September 6.The reason the man's remains were in there remains a mystery, however police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.

The area was cordoned off while officers investigated. No details have been released regarding how the man came to be in the oven as the hospital has launched its own investigation into the tragedy, reports the Mirror.

Now Northamptonshire Police says detectives are investigating what happened, with the force saying there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

A force spokeswoman said: "Police officers were called to the sudden death of a man at Kettering General Hospital on Friday, September 6.“We are not treating this death as suspicious and will be preparing a report for the coroner.
