Panicked Susanna Reid says 'excuse me' as she's caught out in Good Morning Britain blunder

Susanna Reid was left having to apologise as she was caught out during the latest episode of Good Morning Britain. The broadcaster was back fronting the ITV new programme on Wednesday (September 27) alongside Richard Madeley.

They were back bringing viewers the latest news headlines, with the support of Charlotte Hawkins, discussing the latest hot topics and interview those from both the political and entertainment sphere.

However, things soon took an awkward turn as Susanna was caught trying to enjoy a snack break. Following an ad break, the cameras went on in the ITV studio unexpectedly and Susanna soon went into a panic realising she was in the shot and was seen enjoying some food. Picking up the plate of food to dispose of to get on with the show, her co-host Richard couldn’t help but laugh at the situation and told viewers: "She’s having her breakfast." He added: "Bare with her, bare with her," as she slid the plate under her desk Susanna said: "I’ll have that a little later." Last week Susanna finally returned to GMB almost a week after her sudden exit.

The presenter appeared back alongside her then-co-host Ed Balls after being forced to take a few days off from her role. Presenter Charlotte Hawkins was instead drafted in last minute to co-host with Ed Balls with Charlotte explaining the last-minute change to viewers. "Good morning to you, this is a bit of an unscheduled appearance for me this morning!" she said at the time.
