Martin Scorsese
Martin Charles Scorsese Italian (born November 17, 1942) is an American filmmaker and actor, whose career spans more than 50 years. Part of the New Hollywood wave of filmmaking, he is widely regarded as one of the most significant and influential filmmakers in cinematic history. Scorsese's body of work explores such themes as Italian-American identity, Catholic concepts of guilt and redemption? faith, machismo, modern crime, and gang conflict. Many of his films are also known for their depiction of violence and liberal use of profanity. In 1990, he founded The Film Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to film preservation, and in 2007 he founded the World Cinema Foundation. He is a recipient of the AFI Life Achievement Award for his contributions to the cinema, and has won an Academy Award, a Palme d'Or, Cannes Film Festival Best Director Award, Silver Lion, Grammy Award, Emmys, Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and Directors Guild of America Awards.

John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Oscar Isaac to star in crime thriller ‘In the Hands of Dante’

Oscar Isaac has a new project lined up. Isaac is starring in “In the Hands of Dante,” a crime thriller film directed by Oscar nominee Julian Schnabel and produced by Martin Scorsese.

It will co-star Jason Momoa and Gerard Butler, reports Deadline. The second timeline follows Dante Alighierihimself, the author of the original story, drawing parallels between the two writers.

The film is currently shooting in Venice after it was deemed a beneficiary of the SAG-AFTRA interim agreement. It sounds like an exciting project that has united some of the biggest names in the action and film industry. “In The Hands of Dante” has had a long history in Hollywood, with Johnny Depp securing the book rights in 2008.
