dailyrecord.co.ukA new mini business park could be coming to Prestwick, Ayrshire Live can exclusively reveal.Plans have been submitted for permission in principle to turn a vacant brownfield site just off the town’s Main Street into a brand new commercial space.
Plans show the project, complete with as many as five units and associated parking.Behind the proposals are Cumnock-based Oberdarn Property and Land Development and their agents in the scheme are Axiom Design Services, based in Sanquhar.Ayrshire Live can reveal how the plan is to transform the vacant brownfield site, just off Salisbury Place, and turn it into a mixed-use mini business park, featuring a selection of Class 2 and Class 4 units.From the submitted plans, at least five units have been earmarked for the site.
It is, however, unclear what type of businesses are looking to move into the site. The indicative plans also allow for car parking (including disabled parking) and spaces to accommodate cyclists.The gross internal floor area of the proposed units stands at around 3,229 square feet, with a mezzanine floor mooted for two of the units.
Three of the units would face in a north western direction with the other two facing towards the north.The application was validated by the South Ayrshire Council planning department on Wednesday, July 26 and are currently listed as ‘pending consideration’ on their online planning portal.
