Miranda Lambert Reveals How She Met Husband Brendan McLoughlin

Miranda Lambert is looking back on her meet-cute story with husband Brendan McLoughlin! On Monday night (May 1), the 39-year-old country music singer appeared on Watch What Happens Live where host Andy Cohen said that he was obsessed with the way she met the 31-year-old former police officer. Keep reading to find out more… “He was a cop that was on duty or guarding at GMA,” Andy said. “And you kind of saw him when you were there performing?” Miranda then recalled appearing on Good Morning America back in November 2018 with her music group Pistol Annies and she saw Brendan outside of the studio. “We invited him to our show that night,” Miranda said. “Well, we did it through security because I’m not going to get out on the street and go ‘Want to go see a country show?’ I felt weird about that so my security invited him and we gave him one ticket.” “I love it,” Andy responded. “I love that he went alone – that meant he was ready to go.” Miranda then said that at that time, Brendan didn’t know she was interested in him. “He was like ‘I just thought you were thanking me to come to a show,’” Miranda recalled. “I got nervous and didn’t see him before the show.

So after, we all – the band and crew – went to a bar and I invited him. We hung out and he was really cool. My dad’s a police officer and tons of cops and firemen in my family so it just settled right in.” At the time, Miranda was living in New York City so she was able to spend a lot of time with Brendan. Miranda revealed in February 2019 that she and Brendan had gotten married.

In March 2020, Brendan retired from the NYPD and the couple now lives in Nashville. Miranda recently revealed the role she’d like to play if she ever appeared on Yellowstone!
