Met Gala 2023: Look Inside the Costume Institute's Exhibit for Karl Lagerfeld Theme!
justjared.comHours before the red carpet began for the 2023 Met Gala, a press preview was held to reveal the inside of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Exhibit.
The theme of the exhibit this year if “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” and the event is paying tribute to the late designer, who was the head of such fashion houses as Balmain, Chloé, Fendi, and Chanel. Karl passed away in 2019 at the age of 85 and was frequently in attendance at the Met Gala throughout his life.
The dress code at the event this year is “in honor of Karl” and a lot of celebs are expected to wear vintage pieces that he worked on throughout his career.
