During their Royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji in autumn 2018, Meghan Markle reportedly "turned and hissed" at a staff member which led to the staffer being in "tears".

Rebecca English from the Daily Mail reported: "I was there at the time and witnessed Meghan turn and 'hiss' at a member of her entourage, clearly incandescent with rage about something, and demand to leave. "I later saw that same - female - highly distressed member of staff sitting in an official car, with tears running down her face.

Our eyes met and she lowered hers, humiliation etched on her features." According to The Sun, Meghan reportedly got upset because UN Women were present at a market where she asked them not to be.The Duchess of Sussex was then thought to be seen whispering to one of her aides at the market before leaving all of a sudden.

While her lawyers denied the claims that she exited due to the presence of UN Women, a witness defended Meghan saying: "It was very hot and humid in there so perhaps it wasn't the best environment for a pregnant woman." They continued: "After speaking for about a minute she broke off and spoke to the same aide again before she was whisked out of the market very soon after." Before Harry and Meghan's controversial 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Buckingham Palace staff alleged that working for the couple had been "autocratic" and "difficult", leading to several key employees resigning, reports the Express.
