The cast of Call the Midwife are back on set, filming for the upcoming series which will see our favourite characters stepping into the 1970s.The much-loved show - which wrapped up its 13th series in March - saw Helen George's character Trixie Franklin hinting at a possible departure from Poplar to join her husband Matthew Aylward (played by Olly Rix) who has relocated to New York for work.

Meanwhile, Judy Parfitt, who has portrayed Sister Monica Joan since 2012, continues to be a staple in the BBC drama.
