Manchester Airport has hit back against claims made by Turkish football giants Galatasaray that club staff were treated ‘immorally’ following their Champions League win over Manchester United on Tuesday evening.
The club used the airport to travel back to their native country in the hours following their famous 3-2 victory at Old Trafford.
A handful of club officials are said to have been abusive towards terminal employees during bag checks. On-site police attended the situation as a matter of standard procedure and no arrests were made.
However, Galatasaray felt they had been mistreated during their pass-through and released a strong statement, claiming their human rights had been 'violated'.
