Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has admitted he would 'hate' to see Scott McTominay leave Old Trafford as the midfielder continues to be linked with a move to Newcastle.
The 26-year-old scored four goals for Scotland during the recent international break - grabbing two braces in the Euro 2024 qualifying victories over Cyprus and Spain.
The famous triumph over the Spaniards saw Steve Clarke's side move to the top of Group A with two wins from two matches. While McTominay has fallen down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag following the arrivals of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, he has still made 32 appearances in all competitions.
The midfielder has also registered two goals and one assist. ALSO READ: Eddie Howe responds to Erik ten Hag's 'annoying' claim According to reports, the academy graduate is attracting interest from Premier League rivals Newcastle.
