A man has been charged after bomb disposal units were scrambled to an incident on a street in Bolton. Police carried out a Section 46 firearms warrant at a property on Milton Crescent in the Farnworth area on Tuesday (February 20).

Paramedics, fire crews and bomb disposal units were also called to the scene. A man was arrested after police 'recovered a number of offensive weapons, ammunition, and a suspected grenade'.

Kurtis Jones, of Milton Crescent, has been charged with possession of a firearm and possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.
