Car mounts pavement and 'crashes into building' in Glasgow as cops lock down streets

A number of roads have been shut in the east end of Glasgow after a car mounted a pavement and ploughed into a building earlier today.Officers from Police Scotland are currently on the scene at Parkhead Cross following the incident.

Images appear to show a car has collided with a building within the area cordoned off by officers as an investigation is carried out.Pictures also show two ambulances, a fire engine, and two police vehicles at the scene.

Officers clad in hi-vis uniforms can also be seen, while other officers appear to be directing traffic.A number of roads have been shut down following the incident, Glasgow Live reports.
