Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager.

Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin.

After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

The Coronation Concert was enjoyed by millions on Sunday night as some unexpected guests took to the stage. Fans were delighted as some of the iconic The Muppets characters surprised crowds and delighted fans.Much-loved puppets including Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog stole the show when they interrupted Hugh Bonneville and began presenting for the fun-filled skit.

And whilst the King and Queen looked slightly confused at the beginning of the iconic duo's act, William and Kate could be seen looking on amused at their jokes, reports the Mirror.Brother and sister Princess Charlotte and Prince George were delighted at The Muppets' appearance, as Miss Piggy made her advances on Hugh, whilst George could be seen covering his face and laughing at the strange encounter.And now, an expert lip reader has disclosed what the Prince and Princess of Wales thought of the segment, which saw Miss Piggy ask Hugh if he was single.

Jacqui Press told the Daily Mail that Kate enjoyed the sketch. Whilst watching the skit, she said: "That's funny!" as she sat next to her daughter Charlotte.
