Lidl has been forced to recall one of its chocolate products and has warned shoppers not to eat it, and instead return it to the store.Even though Easter has now been and gone, some supermarkets still have a supply of chocolate eggs left over from a few weeks ago.
While you might be tempted to try and find a reduced egg at a bargain price, one such variety from Lidl should be avoided if you have a milk allergy. This is because Lidl's Deluxe Ecuadorian Single Origin Easter Egg may pose a health risk to those allergic to milk, or an intolerance to milk or its constituents.
Therefore, anyone who falls into this category shouldn't consume the chocolate treat due to the undeclared allergen that wasn't listed on the product's packaging.
The full product details are listed below, as reported by the Liverpool Echo: Product details The budget supermarket has also said that no other Deluxe products in Lidl GB stores are affected by this recall.
