Lanarkshire youngsters are celebrating after winning the first ever Climate Action Schools Project of the Year Award.A top prize in the first annual Eco-Schools Awards organised by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful has been won by Crawforddyke Primary, Carluke.All nominees were from schools which proudly fly the Green Flag – the top accolade in the international Eco-Schools programme which recognises the achievements and commitment of the whole school to Learning for Sustainability.And Crawforddyke scooped the inaugural Climate Action Schools Project of the Year 2023 Award for their outstanding School Improvement Plan which embeds climate action and sustainability and has been embraced by every pupil and staff member.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
