A teenage thug tried to kill a 14 year-old boy with a broken bottle before boasting about it to a friend. The 17-year-old was part of a mob who chased the young victim near a viaduct in Kilmarnock last October 24.Police later arrested the attacker and went on to discover an audio clip of him discussing the horrific crime.During it, he bragged: "I just started plugging f*** out him, mate."I think he's in a coma.

He tried to get up, stabbed him in the chest, stabbed him in the rib cage, just heavy started doing him, bro."The 14 year-old suffered serious injuries, but luckily survived. The thug was on bail at the time having been part of an armed robbery at a shop in the town before a brave worker grabbed a cricket bat and chased them out.The teenager yesterday appeared in the dock at the High Court in Glasgow. He pled guilty to attempted murder. The boy further admitted to the assault and robbery as well as a charge under the Firearms Act.No-one involved in the murder bid can be identified due to their ages. The victim had been walking with friends when he heard someone shouting he was a "chicken".The boy fled, but was immediately tailed by the large group of young males.Prosecutor Greg Farrell said: "He was tripped from behind and fell to the ground."He was aware of being punched several times by five or six males."He then saw [the 17 year-old] making a stabbing motion and he thought he was being hit with a glass bottle."The bleeding victim managed to escape to a nearby bus station, where he was helped by staff. He was soon rushed to hospital with his condition described as "critical".The boy had three wounds to his chest, back and arm.
