Kevin Clifton praised as he shares snaps of himself 'not doing so well'
ok.co.ukKevin Clifton has been praised by fans and colleagues alike as he shared an unusually honest post about his past struggles on Instagram today (Monday 1 May).The former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, 40, who won the show with his now partner Stacey Dooley in 2018, admitted there were times he wasn't "doing well" some years ago.
Crediting meeting 36 year old Stacey, whom he is now engaged to, and subsequently growing their family with daughter Minnie, the TV star shared a selection of snaps from the last several years.The first snap showed Kevin, who has opened up on his problems with alcohol before he gave up drinking in 2020, looking gaunt and greasy as he zoomed in on a selfie of himself with unkempt long hair.The star's eyes were bloodshot and appeared to be watering as he posed for the camera.
Despite the bold first image, after that Kevin posted a number of him achieving critically-acclaimed dance shows, which came after he chose to leave Strictly behind, as well as a string of snaps with his fiancée and their little girl.
In one snap, the dad-of-one was a proud parent next to documentarian and TV presenter Stacey as they gazed down at baby Minnie in his arms.
