Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager.

Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin.

After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

Katy Perry Is 'Temporarily Departing' American Idol Amid Drama -- And Fans Have THOUGHTS!

Katy Perry is going to miss out on the next episode of American Idol as she’s been “temporarily” replaced — and social media is in a frenzy from the news!

As you know, the Teenage Dream songstress and co-judge Lionel Richie will be at King Charles‘ Coronation Concert across the pond, so they won’t have time to be on Idol Sunday!

While they’re in UK, Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morissette will be filling in alongside Luke Bryan for the competition — but with all the recent drama Katy has been caught up in, fans are very opinionated over this announcement!
