Katherine Ryan has shared the measures she's taken to ensure her daughter Violet's Hallowen party is safe and all guests know what "the expectations are" in her house, revealing she's asked all parents to sign a permission waiver for their children and also hired security to search bags.

The comedian, 40, has been getting ready for 14 year old Violet's upcoming Halloween bash, which will be hosted at Katherine's home, and she's wrote up a waiver to ensure everyone is well behaved and Violet's friends' parents are aware of what's happening at the party. "I prepared a document.

I just think in this day and age, with liabilities and having all these kids in my house, I want to send a really clear message to them, when they're 14, what the expectations are in my house," she told fans on Instagram.

The mum-of-three, who also shares son Fred, two, and daughter Fenna Grace, nine months, with husband Bobby Kootstra, continued: "And also, I think it's a good message to the parents to know that if I expect this form signed by a parent with the parent's phone number, then they know that I'm not the kind of mum that allows drinking or vaping or anything else. Those parents are going to go 'oh, if this mum's making me sign this, I feel safe sending my kid there'." Katherine went on to read out the permission waiver, which states that she does not "tolerate any illegal behaviour" and all guests will have their bags searched at the door, where a guest list will also be in place. "Permission waiver. The children are very welcome in our home/garden/pool and we do want them to enjoy themselves and be able to gather in a safe environment for a party.
