Katherine Ryan has discussed an unnamed "dangerous comic", whom she alleges is a "perpetrator of sexual assault." The comedian, 40, opened up about how she worked with the unnamed male comic in the past during an appearance on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.
Explaining how she had had to choose between either turning down work or working with the comedian, Katherine said: "I had a choice - I could go to work with someone who I believe to be a perpetrator of sexual assault or I could turn down the job. Those were my options.
Revealing that she chose to still take the job, Katherine continued: "My compromise was I'm going to go and let him know under no uncertain terms what I think of him. "I'm not just going to allow this behaviour, I'm not going to let him think that I don't know and that everybody he works with is just going to let him get away with it.
So that is the attitude I took into the show." Katherine, who previously spoke about the same situation to documentarian Louis Theroux, added that she regularly gets asked why she hasn't named names, to which she explained that "everyone knows who it is" and what people really want to know is the names of the women.
