Jeremy Clarkson has responded to fans after a mix-up on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire left him red-faced. The TV host, 63, was called out by viewers for not knowing the answer to what seemed like an easy question. On Sunday's episode of the ITV quiz show, contestant Ivo Yordanov hoped Jeremy could help with a question about a UK politician.
Ivo could have won £8,000, but Jeremy didn't know the answer. The tough question was: "What position was Mark Drakeford reappointed to in 2021? " Even though people at home knew the answer and were shouting it at their TVs, Jeremy didn't have a clue. The choices were Attorney General, First Minister of Wales, Head of the Civil Service or First Minister of Northern Ireland.
Jeremy, the quizmaster, confessed he had "never heard" of Drakeford. With no help from Jeremy, Ivo used his Phone A Friend lifeline.
Sadly, his friend didn't know either, which led Ivo to use another lifeline, the 50/50, reports the Mirror.Despite asking Jeremy and his friend to no avail, the 50/50 lifeline thankfully paid off for the contestant and he eventually bagged the £8,000 after losing two of his vital lifelines.
