Jay Slater: Tenerife neighbours tell of reason they believe he's not been found
dailyrecord.co.ukResidents living close to the Jay Slater search scene have told of the reasons they believe he has not been found.Almost four weeks have passed since Jay vanished after partying in Tenerife.
The 19-year-old travelled more than 30km north to a remote Airbnb called Casa Abuela Tina early on June 17, having left the Papagayo nightclub in Playa de las Americas.In the area around the Airbnb apprentice bricklayer Jay was invited to on the outskirts of a village called Masca, there is a small number of homes, reports Manchester Evening News.Locals include Irene and her partner Manolo.
Speaking about why Jay was not in the area, they said: ""[Manolo] thinks that Jay isn’t here," Irene said. "Because many people have looked for him - loads of police units.
If he was here, the crows would have spotted him. Because as soon as they spot a dead animal like a goat or something, the crows are on top of it."Manolo added: "If by the second or third day, if he was - supposedly, God willing not - dead, the crows would have found him straight away.
