A simple text message helped mend a Manchester United legend's bitter split from Sir Alex Ferguson. On a snowy January night in 2010, Sir Alex Ferguson received a surprising message.
The message began with, "I don't know whether you remember me," and ended with, "But I need to call you." The sender was none other than Ruud van Nistelrooy. "He left four years ago!" Sir Alex told his wife Cathy, who suggested, "Maybe he'd like to come back to United?" Ferguson was puzzled.
