Huge emergency services presence and police helicopter after 'serious' crash closes main road

A huge emergency services response descended on a main road in Bolton on Sunday night (March 10) amid reports of a 'serious' crash.

Witnesses reported 'at least 15 police cars' in attendance along with paramedics and fire crews at the scene, on St Peter's Way (A666) near to the Bolton Gate retail park.

A police helicopter circled the scene on Sunday night following the major smash, thought to have involved two vehicles. READ MORE "When will it stop?" One witness said they had 'never seen as many emergency services' as others reported online that there were 'at least 15 police cars' following the serious collision.
