A man has been charged following the death of a pedestrian in Strathaven last year.The crash happened on the A726, Glasgow Road, at around 10.50am on Saturday, 1 April, 2023.A 29-year-old man died at the scene, he was one of three pedestrians who were struck by a van.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A 52-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow and a 24-year-old woman attended University Hospital Wishaw.The 48-year-old driver has now been charged in connection with the pedestrian’s death.He is expected to appear in court at a later date.A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. *Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
