Homeowner can't access driveway after council install bollards at entrance

The local resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, urged Darlington Borough Council to remove the bollards and relocate the crossing due to safety concerns.
The local authority installed a section of tactile pavement on the footpath outside the woman's home in 2018 to increase the safety of parents and primary school children, reports Teeside Live.But nearly five years later, and after witnessing a number of traffic issues along the road, the woman is now calling for better infrastructure to be installed elsewhere.The woman says she was first warned after council officers spotted a motor parked in front of the house she shares with her husband.
She said: "I didn't initially know you couldn't drive over it, and we only had the driveway done at the end of March. A highways inspector drove past, stopped, and told my husband he was legally not allowed to park there."We did have grass and a footpath but the tree roots completely uplifted it, so we installed the paved driveway.
