Hollywood legend Shirley MacLaine, 90, makes rare outing in Malibu

MacLaine went to the same restaurant with a friend for lunch earlier this month. The “Steel Magnolias” star wore a purple T-shirt, a black hoodie sweatshirt, grey pants, and a light blue visor that day.MacLaine turned 90 on April 24.She told PEOPLE at the time that she was celebrating her milestone birthday with an intimate dinner with friends. “We’re getting together and I hope to eat something good,” she said.One month earlier, MacLaine opened up about how Hollywood has changed in an interview with Extra’s Billy Bush.“The glamour’s gone out of it, I’m afraid.

I’m kind of open anyway and I don’t have much to hide.”MacLaine’s most recent movie was the 2022 dark comedy “American Dreamer.” The film followed MacLaine as a lonely widow who had to decide if she wanted to sell her estate to a professor, played by “Game of Thrones” alum Peter Dinklage.In an interview with The Post, MacLaine said she thought the script for the film “was an interesting take on reality.” She also admitted that she wanted to work with Dinklage, 55.
