Laura Branigan was one of the most iconic and exciting singers of the 1980s. Known for hits including 1982's Gloria, the power anthem Self Control, and other tracks such as Solitaire, How Am I Supposed To Live Without You?

and The Power Of Love, she even appeared on movie soundtracks, such as Flashdance, Miami Vice and Ghostbusters. But Laura sadly met an untimely end while asleep, at the age of just 52, having suffered from persistent headaches but failing to seek any medical advice.

The cause of her death was later revealed as an undiagnosed cerebral aneurysm, which is a rupturing of blood vessels in the brain.
