Hollyoaks star to make soap comeback in Coronation Street - 4 years after exit

Former Hollyoaks favourite Nicole Barber-Lane is set to make an appearance on another soap later this month. It has been revealed that Nicola, who formerly played Myra McQueen on the Channel 4 soap between 2006 and 2019, will join the cast Coronation Street.The 53-year-old announced the news on her social media to excited fans that she will play the character Ange on the ITV soap.

Posting a picture of her on the Corrie set, she said: "So if you guessed @coronationstreet you were right!" It comes after she shared a video of herself walking down some cobbles and asked: "Yes!

Guess where I've been filming." The soap star then added to her recent post: "Such a pleasure to do a little cameo... Look out for Ange in last week in September..." Nicole just four years ago, having played matriarch Myra on and off for 13 years.The character’s departure came shortly after her wedding day to Sally St Claire, played by Annie Wallace, didn’t go as planned.

Over the years, Nicola had some explosive storylines on Hollyoaks, aided by Myra's a no-nonsense personality.The character even faked her own death after being shot, which led to her first break from the soap in 2013.
