Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer, according to Cancer Research UK. Cancer diagnoses can be devastating not only to the patient but their loved ones too, but more and more people survive cancer through early diagnosis and treatment.

Understanding what patients are going through and helping them during their cancer journey can make all the difference. Dr Jane McAdam is a podiatrist by background currently working at the University of Salford as the Associate Dean for Enterprise and Engagement in the School of Health & Society.

Jane’s role in the Allies in Cancer Care course is project lead. She said: "We were really delighted to pull this course together with a great team behind me here at The University of Salford and also at The Christies.

People who have been on the course to date are changing their practice as a result, which is benefiting their patients." If you're an Allied Health Professional living and or working in the Greater Manchester Area, then register today.
