Much-loved actor Robbie Coltrane - best known for his role as Hagrid in Harry Potter - left behind a huge estate valued at almost £5 million after he died of sepsis.The Scottish star, who passed away in October 2022 aged 72, had racked up an impressive fortune following his successful career appearing on both small and big screens.Prior to his death, Robbie appointed his ex-wife Rhona Gemmell and close friend Gordon Bulloch as trustees of his estate, reports the Mirror.His will signed in 2021 disclosed that the gross value of his UK-based assets amounted to £3,848,971.In addition to his UK wealth, Robbie who also owned property and vehicles in Spain worth £776,693 and held almost £300,00 in funds in the US.In the actor's will, he stipulated that the majority of his wealth should be placed in a trust for the benefit of his two children, Spencer and Alice.He also gave paintings of his children by artist John Burns to them, also generously leaving £450,000 to his sister Annie Rae and £250,000 to a godson.The Scot also gifted a model of the boat Aquitania, constructed on the Clyde, to Glasgow's Riverside Museum for public display.His will also revealed a vast estate comprising properties in Scotland, London and Menorca, along with an impressive stocks and shares portfolio.

The Hagrid star's prized car collection was valued at £42,250, while his sculptures and works of art were estimated to be worth £36,300.Robbie - also known for his roles in ITV detective drama Cracker and various James Bond films - was honoured with an OBE in the 2006 New Year's Honours list for his services to drama.
